KELLY KEELING Lines Up Hard Rock Veterans For Upcoming Solo CD

November 10, 2002

Vocalist/guitarist Kelly Keeling (BATON ROUGE, BLUE MURDER, MSG, GUITAR ZEUS, JOHN NORUM, etc.),currently signed to Holland's Mascot Records as a solo artist, has posted the following update via his official web site:

"I am in Los Angeles recording what I hope will be the last seven songs for the album.

"Vinnie Appice rocked last night, as did Carmine for the last few days. It has been very entertaining and funny watching these guys try to outdo each other. It's sibling rivalry. Who can play louder? Who has the best fills? It's funny fighting.

"Wayne Finlay, my buddy from MSG and Vinnie Moore participated in the band. We've all played together for years and have a good understanding of getting 'IT', the 'ONE', the 'MAGIC'.

"What we have is a very nice Keith Moon or should we say classic Appice drum sound and performance. A KEELING performance?

"I will meet with Tony Frankin Wednesday to have him help with two new songs and these mixes. I'm very happy he has a bit of time. It's perfect timing to help me organize the home stretch to finish line. I also have a meeting set with Pat Regan to help with a remix and a mix I would like him to do of a new song.

"I'd like to get Don Dokken involved a bit as well. I spoke with him yesterday about his solo album and mine. He sounds great and inspired. He always has good ideas, knows his business and owes me a rocker or two so we'll see what happens. :)

"I am in the process now of transferring two inch analog tape recordings to Pro Tools and Wav Files. I'm very pleased with these last five drum tracks. I'll have to add some bass, guitars and vocals on these five songs. Most are done but with the new great drum performances parts will need slight altering for the better. Maybe Tony would like to play a track or so. We'll see. There is no better rhythm section than Carmine and Tony.

"Just talking with Tony is a big help. He just finished a solo album and work on David Coverdale's new album. He is very tuned in as far as mixing, ideas, personality etc.. What a great guy! He has a new band I'll see Wednesday, playing their first show.

"Anyway, things are going great! My new manager Sandy Serge is working on shows for the summer and slightly before with festivals here in America, Sweden and working on Japan.

"This early in the game is a bit frightening but it's helping me to envision some rockers and movers for live performances, which are needed on the album. Some of the newer bands will be at these festivals so we should get some good exposure.

"I'm not looking forward to snow in Europe. Maybe we will be there in the summer as well.

"I hope to have some rough mixes soon. We can then tweak them and get them rocking and correct. Then we have to select the right mastering person.

"Take care. I'm doing my best to be at my best and deliver the best!

"Warm Regards, KELLY"
